• Good evening Washington families,

This is Principal Paul Travers here with your weekly message.

We had a fantastic turnout last week for Field Day, the flag football finale, and PTO movie night – thank you to all the families who came out to support our school and Washingtonians!

This week, tutoring resumes for select students tomorrow, Monday, and again on Thursday after school.

Our Golf Pathway students will head to Gillespie Park for the First Tee Program tomorrow and Tuesday.

On Wednesday, our kindergarten class will enjoy a field trip to Whittaker Farms.

Thursday is cap and gown picture day for our fifth-grade and kindergarten students.

Looking forward to this Saturday, May 3rd, as our some of our Washingtonians test their endurance in the GO FAR race in High Point. As a reminder, a bus will transport our students from school to the race and back.

Your Weekly Health and Wellness Tip: Embrace the Greensboro Greenways! Our beautiful network offers a wonderful opportunity for families to walk, bike, or run together. Even a few 30-minute strolls each week can significantly improve physical health. Explore different sections of the Greenway – there's so much to discover!

Looking ahead, interim reports will be sent home on May 8th. Please also mark your calendars for our Science Night at Washington on May 13th.
