• Good evening, Washington families! This is Principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.

    Get ready for some fun! Our Washington Fun Run is this Saturday at 8:45 AM. It's always a fantastic community event with lots of excitement. We'll have free breakfast boxes available for everyone after the race.

    • Monday, March 31st: Just a reminder that tomorrow, Monday, March 31st, is a teacher workday. There will be no school for students.
    • Tuesday, April 1st:
      • Our Golf Pathway students will head to Gillespie Park for golf practice after school.
      • The SAS Fairytales and Action Club will meet.
    • Wednesday, April 2nd: All Kindergarten through 5th-grade students will be taking their Math NWEA assessments.
    • Thursday, April 3rd: After-school clubs for SAS will be Culinary Arts & Etiquette and Majorettes.
    • Friday, April 4th:
      • Our First Graders will be taking a field trip to Military Park.
      • Second through Fifth Graders will be taking the Reading NWEA assessment.
      • Select Fourth and Fifth Graders who earing this incentive will be taking a field trip to Spare Time.
      • The SAS Flag Football Club will continue their games after school.
      • Friday also marks the first day of our Book Fair!

    Your Weekly Health & Wellness Tip:

    As you prepare for our Fun Run this Saturday, remember to fuel your body right! Start today by focusing on hydrating well with water and eating balanced meals. Avoid sugary drinks and heavy, greasy foods this week. This will give you energy for the run and help you feel your best on race day.

    Looking Ahead:

    • Tuesday, April 8th: Mark your calendars for our Third Quarter Awards Day. Report cards will also be sent home on this day.
    • Wednesday, April 9th: Our SAS Showcase will be held at 5:30 PM.
    • Friday, April 11th: We will have Field Day for all students!
