Good evening, Washington Families, 

This is principal Paul Travers with your weekly message.

There will be not school tomorrow in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.

On Tuesday, January 21^st we will continue with school-wide middle of the year DIBELS testing. Also on Tuesday, our 2^nd graders will be taking their Math NWEA assessment.

On Wednesday, our 5^th graders will be taking their math Interim Assessment and our Recess Champions will be visited by The Greensboro Swarm.

On Thursday, our 1^st graders will be taking their math NWEA assessment and select students from 3^rd – 5^th grade will meet with The Distinguished Young Women of North Carolina for a Health and Wellness session.

This Friday our Washingtonians will be taking their class pictures, 3^rd – 5^th graders will be taking their Math NWEA assessment, and it is also the end of the 2^nd quarter.

Looking ahead, next Monday, January 27^th is a Teacher Workday, there will be no school for students on this day.
