• Good evening, Washington families,

This is Principal Paul Travers with your weekly update.

First, a sincere thank you to all parents who shared their careers with our students last week. Your participation was greatly appreciated and provided valuable insights for our Washingtonians.

    Here's what's happening this week:

    • Monday & Tuesday: Our golf pathway students will be at Gillespie Park for First Tee.
    • Tuesday: Fifth graders will travel to Hairston for their middle school field trip.SAS after school club: Fairy tales and action.
    • Wednesday: Our Eco Explorers pathway will visit the transfer station. Additionally, SAS after-school clubs will meet for Culinary Arts & Etiquette, and Majorettes.
    • Thursday: Kindergarteners will enjoy a visit from the Mad Scientist.
    • Friday: The third quarter ends. Third, fourth, and fifth graders will take their math interim assessment. Also, SAS after-school club flag football will be held.

Your Health and Wellness Tip for this week is: Take advantage of the longer daylight hours by spending time outdoors during breaks or after school. Sunlight boosts vitamin D, improving mood and energy levels.

Looking ahead: There is no school for students next Monday, March 31st, as it is a staff workday. Please be on the lookout for communications with classroom teachers as they are scheduling mandatory third quarter conferences.

At Washington, we Honor Community, Show Excellence, Think Critically, and Thrive Through Movement.
