Hello! I am a northern transplant who is relatively new to North Carolina.  I grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, and later moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  I received my Bachelor's Degree in English Literature with minors in Modern History and Art History from West Chester University in Pennsylvania.  I earned my Master's of Arts degree in Secondary Teaching from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.  I taught English in Baltimore, Maryland. Later, I taught both English and History for six years at Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools.  Aside from my credentials, I live in a 104-year-old stone farmhouse with enough acreage to support myriad useless livestock (all pets). I am an avid baseball fan having grown up with the Baltimore Orioles, with warm memories of going to games with my father who has since passed.  My hobbies include riding my horse, painting and drawing, reading, canine obedience, and being outdoors as much as possible. I will be teaching Economics/Personal Finance and World History in Spring 2025.  I look forward to sharing my classroom with my new students.
