Welcome to my page.  I am Yolonda Burgess and am certified to teach 6-12th grade math.  I have been teaching math since 2016. I have been a math teacher at Southern Guilford since 2018. My goal is to help students grow in math and understand its importance.  I spent about 13 years in the field of engineering prior to teaching.  I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. I graduated from GCS-ACT (Guilford County Schools Alternative Certification Track) in July 2017 with my lateral entry training certificate.  I am a wife and a mother of 3 children.  I enjoy spending time with family and doing anything that involves numbers or technology.
