My name is Erica Covington, and I am the head of the English Department. This year, I am teaching Honor and standard English IV, Yearbook/Journalism, and AP English Literature & Composition. I have been teaching at Southern since the fall of 2013 after having received my Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing, and my Master's of Arts in Teaching degree in English Education. In 2024, I received my National Board Teaching Certification in English Literature for Adolescents and Young Adults.
