Welcome!

Hello everyone, I'm very excited to be working with you all this year! I have been at Southern Guilford High since 2023 and am currently teaching Foundations of Math 1 and Math 1 Honors. In these courses, students will learn further about sequences, functions, inequalities, statistics, patterns, and equations. Each week the agenda will be posted on Canvas and grades will be updated in PowerSchool. It is important that students check these platforms daily to make sure they are not missing any assignments or important information.

At the end of Math 1, students will test their overall knowledge by taking the state Math 1 EOC exam. This exam is worth 20% of the students semester grade. Students will be given the opportunity to review this material at the end of the semester through a BootCamp, so please be on the look out for any forms, emails, calls, and TalkingPoints messages sent home.

Get to Know Me

I attended Radford University where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and teaching liscense in secondary education for mathematics (grades 6-12). Although I am passionate about school, I enjoy hobbies such as shopping, working out, reading, and watching basketball. My role as a teacher is to make sure that all of my students are successful in every way possible, so if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.
