Mrs. Mary Shawn M. Newins

I grew up the oldest of five children in Montclair, New Jersey.

I have lived in many places along the east coast, Ohio and Wisconsin.

Our children are grown, and we are blessed with a grandson.

I began my career in the Guilford County Schools system as a substitute teacher in March 2023.

In December 2023, I became a full-time Computer Science Teacher at SGHS and love my job!

Prior to entering the GCS family, my professional career was in the private sector in corporate positions.LinkedIn Profile

As a very creative person, I enjoy painting, sewing, designing and all things that expand my imagination.

I love listening to audiobooks while I paint and sew. Some of my current favorite authors are: Michelle Obama, Mark Greaney, Jacqueline Winspear, Nick Pirog and more.
