  • Welcome to the Guilford County Schools Tutoring Department Home Page!!  High-dosage tutoring, or tutoring that occurs with regular frequency [3-5 times per week], is more likely to positively impact student outcomes, while mentorships with tutors can build social and emotional supports, as well as get students back on track.  When done well, with intentional training and with high quality instructional materials, tutoring can be more effective than more than 80% of other academic interventions.  


    GCS Helpline

    The last day for the 2023-24 GCS Virtual Tutoring Helpline will be Thursday, May 23rd.

    The GCS Virtual Tutoring Helpline will reopen on Monday, June 24th for summer hours. 

    *Students and families can begin booking sessions through the Pearl platform on June 21st*


    Summer schedule:

    June 24th - 27th
    CLOSED July 1st - 4th
    July 8th - 11th
    July 15th - 18th
    July 22nd - 25th
    July 29th - August 1st

    Monday - Thursday 2:00pm - 6:00pm

    You can sign into Clever on a non-GCS device at using the student ID/lunch number and password.
