GCS Academically and Intellectually Gifted Plan

The state of North Carolina legislates the identification and service of academically and intellectually gifted students. The state law, Article 9b, provides a state definition of giftedness and requires school districts to develop a local plan to identify and serve gifted students. The local plans are revised every three years.

* For the remainder of the GCS AIG Plan 2022-2025, when using EOG/EOC data for AG eligibility in grades 3-12, the scale score equivalent to the lowest Level 5 for each grade level will be utilized instead of percentile scores.
