  • Ragsdale Athletics is thrilled to announce that the Athlete of the Week honors go to the exceptional players of the women's flag football team following their impressive victory against Smith on Saturday. With this victory, the team has secured a spot in the playoffs, set to take place on December 3 at Page High School, where they will face Mount Tabor on Field 2 at 10:00 AM.

    This week's standout athletes include:

Emily Fisher, a junior wide receiver, showcased her skills by scoring three touchdowns, all from receptions.

Mackenzie Mayer, a freshman defensive powerhouse, demonstrated her tenacity by recording three interceptions, shutting down Smith's top receiver.

Jacquelyn Shaner, a sophomore quarterback, stepped up as QB1 and threw for three touchdowns, leading the team with exceptional performance.

The women’s flag football team is in its inaugural season and has made remarkable strides, reflecting the dedication and talent of its players. The success of the team can be attributed to the outstanding leadership of head coaches Megan Harbaugh and Jennifer Pfeiffer, along with assistant coach Dakota Bratcher, whose vision and expertise have been instrumental in guiding the team.

"We are incredibly proud of our women's flag football team and their accomplishments this season," said Coach Megan Harbaugh. "The hard work, dedication, and teamwork displayed by our athletes have been truly inspiring. We're excited for what lies ahead in the playoffs!"

As the team prepares for this pivotal playoff matchup, Ragsdale Athletics encourages all supporters to come out and cheer for the Tigers as they strive for victory.
