Ragsdale Athletics is thrilled to announce that freshman Hake Cyrus has been named our Athlete of the Week! A dedicated member of the wrestling team, Hake competes in the 106 weight class and has shown remarkable skill and determination throughout the season.
Currently boasting a record of 20 wins and 9 losses, Hake has made a significant impact on the mat. Last week, he showcased his talent by defeating his opponent from Northwest Guilford, further demonstrating his competitive spirit. Additionally, Hake earned a commendable second place at the Nighthawk Invitational, solidifying his status as a rising star in the wrestling community.
Hake’s commitment to perfecting his moves and his relentless work ethic has been evident as he continues to improve each week. First-year head coach Issac Tahirkheli praised Hake’s dedication, stating, “Hake is an exceptional athlete with a bright future ahead of him. His hard work and determination are inspiring to the team, and I have no doubt he will continue to excel as the season progresses.”
Ragsdale Athletics is excited to see how Hake develops for the rest of this season and looks forward to watching him lead our wrestling program in the coming years.
Congratulations, Hake, on this well-deserved recognition!
