  • Ragsdale High School is proud to announce that Jonathan Jurado Sadamura, a junior from the men’s cross-country team, has been named this week’s Athlete of the Week. This recognition highlights Jonathan's exceptional performance and dedication both on the track and in the classroom.

Last week, Jonathan showcased his extraordinary talent by crossing the finish line first in the 4A Metro Conference Meet, further solidifying his status as a top competitor. Head coach Carly Cook applauds Jonathan’s outstanding mentality, stating, “He is the definition of mentality over everything. As a runner, having a strong mindset is key to finishing strong in a race.” Jonathan consistently demonstrates this mindset, arriving at every practice ready to give his all and going the extra mile to push his limits.

In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Jonathan shines academically, earning an impressive GPA of 3.875 last semester. His commitment to excellence in all areas of his life sets a remarkable example for his peers.

This well-deserved title is a testament to Jonathan’s hard work, determination, and spirit. We congratulate him on his achievements and look forward to seeing his continued success in both cross country and academics.
