Future City Engineering Club

  • A competition-based club for aspiring engineers, designers, and architects. Future City exists to encourage students to think critically about what it will take to create a sustainable city in the future. Students will utilize the theme provided for the year to design their own city and then compete against teams from across the state, and potentially nationally. The club is open to 5th-8th graders; however, while a limited number of 5th graders can participate in club meetings (design and so forth), they cannot directly participate in the competition or registration. At this time, 4th grade students are not able to participate.

Student can expect to meet one day a week and work on various portions of the project as a team effort. Competition will take place in January for state level and February for national level.  See website for more info.

For the 2024-2025 school year, the club will meet on Tuesdays after school until 5:15 in room 204.

Please note: For the 2024-2025 school year, the club cannot accommodate any more students. Due to the volume of requests, please refrain from further inquiries at this time.
