    Section 504 is part of a federal civil rights law known as the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. This law specifically prohibits discrimination against students with disabilities and guarantees them a free and appropriate public education. Discrimination, as defined in Section 504, is the failure to provide students with disabilities with the same opportunities to benefit from educational programs, services, or activities, or services that are provided to students without disabilities.

    What to Expect:

    All students enroll through the school zoned for the home address. The team at the school will review your child's IEP to ensure they can meet your child's needs. If they can't meet your child's needs, they will send your child to the next closest school to your home that can.
