Career and College Promise (CCP) is North Carolina’s dual enrollment program for high school students. The initiative implemented by the North Carolina legislature began in spring of 2012. The program allows eligible high school students to enroll in college classes at North Carolina community colleges and universities through their high school. Depending on which pathway a student chooses they may earn college credit that is transferable to any North Carolina University System college or university after they graduate or credit towards a career-technical program offered at a community college. In many cases, students can also earn dual credit allowing them to meet high school graduation requirements with college courses. Tuition is waived for this program but students are responsible for fees and books.
Fees for 2024-2025:
Part-time fees (less than 12 credit hours): $59.75.
Full time fees (12 credit hours or more): $103.25.
A minimum unweighted GPA of 2.8 is required for this program OR college ready test scores for PSAT, SAT, pre-ACT, ACT.

May 22nd - July 29th: 10-Week Summer Semester
June 4th - July 29th: 8-week Summer Semester
August 14th - December 12th: 16-week Fall Semester
August 14th - October 8th: 1st 8-week Fall Semester
October 16th - December 12th: 2nd 8-week Fall Semester

Career and College Promise Information Sessions
For students interested in CCPGuilford Technical Community College will present an information session about its Career and College Promise Program for high school students. The presentation will provide information about the dual enrollment program for high school students along with information about the admissions process and qualifications for the program. Students and parents are invited to attend one of the free, hour-long events. Reservations are not required.

Once you have submitted your application packet:
- Please frequently check the email listed on your application. If something is missing, you will be notified. After the application is processed, the applicant will receive an email with Titan Account Activation Instructions. *Be mindful of the password expiration date!
- After activating your Titan account, please check your GTCC Titan Email daily. You will receive registration instructions after your application is processed.
- Once you have registered for classes, you will be sent an email with instructions for a mandatory online CCP Orientation.
