Registration Instructions for students 2024-25
1. Please ensure you register your student for Northern Guilford High School in SchoolMint first: SchoolMint Enrollment.
-
- You can find a complete list of what you will need for SchoolMint here: https://nc01910393.schoolwires.net/Page/11412
2. Schedule an appointment with your child’s counselor to select courses. You MUST complete the SchoolMint registration before scheduling an appointment with a counselor. If your student is not in SchoolMint prior to the meeting, your counselor will ask you to reschedule.
-
- Bring a copy of your student’s middle school final transcript/8th grade final report card. Please ensure that all courses your child expects to receive high school credit for are included on that final transcript. It may be necessary to have the student's middle school send a list of high school credits and course descriptions to Northern for evaluation prior to your conference. If you are expecting to receive high school credit for a class taken in a charter/private middle school, please follow up with the middle school to have that information sent to Northern's counselors.
- Bring the student's birth certificate and valid proof of residency to your appointment as well.
- If your student has a 504 or IEP, please inform your counselor, and bring a copy with you.

The application is a 3 step process. Students complete their section and hit submit, next the parent/guardian receives an email with directions for a signature to allow student to apply to GAP, finally the CCM/CDC (Leigh Smith) will receive an email requesting transcripts, attendance records, and a signature.
GAP Company Open Houses and Tour sign-up is available on the GAP website under the “EVENTS” tab in the upper right hand corner. Students MUST sign-up (AND attend at least one with a parent and guardian and are encouraged to sign up and attend as many as they are able to).
