• Graduation

    Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal*, Monday, June 9th

    Students Arrive:  11:45am                          Practice Ends:  2:00pm

    Greensboro Coliseum-students provide their own transportation. Bring the shoes you plan on wearing to graduation if you need to practice in them. Do NOT wear cap & gown.

     

    *Attendance at rehearsal is required to participate in the graduation ceremony.

     

    GRADUATION, Wednesday, June 11th

    Students Arrive:  5:00pm (staging area)  Processional:  6:00pm

    Greensboro Coliseum (Graduates report to staging area)

    • When you arrive at 5pm, report to the staging area to find your place in line. 
    • Bring cap, gown, spirit hood, and tassel.
    • Dress Options:
      1. Dress pants (brown, beige, black or navy) and long-sleeved shirt. You do NOT have to wear a shirt with a collar. Spirit hood should fit tight to your neck. No tennis shoes, flip-flops, or other casual shoes.
      2. Dress (no longer than gown) and shoes with a strap across the back of the foot. No tennis shoes, flip-flops, or other casual shoes.
    • No decorations on cap & gown; only GCS/school provided cords are allowed.
    • No purses or bags are allowed in the processional. Leave everything at home. 
    • No cell phones. If you are seen with a cell phone during the processional or ceremony, the phone will be confiscated and could result in your diploma being held. 
    • This is an important and formal event.  Your parents & families, Dr. Muller, and distinguished guests deserve your respect.  No loud or rude behavior.  Those behaviors could result in your diploma being held.
    • You do NOT receive your diploma on stage. You must return to the staging area after the ceremony to get your diploma.
