 2025 Tryouts Begin March 3

3:40 to 5:30 pm

During tryouts all athletes will be timed in sprints and distance as well as try field events. Athletes will be chosen based on times and scores from tryouts in each event. 

  (Please dress for the weather)

Boys trying out are expected to be at Tryouts every day listed for Boys.

If students make the team, they are expected at all practices and meets unless prior approval is given by Coach.

Please turn in completed forms by 8:30 am by the first day of tryouts in the Athletic Director. Forms can be turned in early.

Please make a copy of all the paperwork in case you need it for something else such as a camp, etc.

 Any 6th, 7th and 8th graders trying out should have a current physical (current for 395 days), a current concussion form (current for one school year), and meet all eligibility requirements (found on the NWMS Athletic website). Forms needed can be found on the NWMS website under Athletics or picked up from your PE Teacher.

Please make a copy of your paperwork in case you need the physical for something else.

Mandatory Parent Meeting TBA

Athletes chosen for the team will need to pay the $45 Athletic fee or send a waiver to GCS Director of Athletics using the online K12 payment service on the NW Middle website or by cash or check at NW Middle before the first meet to participate. This is a once a year fee. If the athlete paid earlier in this school year, he will not need to pay again. Managers do not pay.
