REGISTRATION GUIDE FOR THE 2025-26 YEAR
We are excited about beginning the registration process for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year! This page will allow you to navigate through all the typical information we provide and work step-by-step through the registration process. Our goal is to help students and parents through this process to ensure you have the necessary information and guidance needed to plan for your academic future.
Registration Checklist
February 14th – March 28th – District Registration Window
February 12th – Registration presentations during homeroom Roundup Time - Students should review SW Registration Guide Page
February 13th – Curriculum Night (*Meet with teachers to learn about the various course options)
February 14th – February 23rd – Students will enter course selections into PowerSchool (*Parents may review)
February 24th – March 28th – Counselors will meet with students one-on-one to review course selections
Our schedule is created based on students’ course selections. It is crucial that you are intentional about the courses you request. Only select the courses you are willing to take as you may not have the opportunity to change your selections in the fall. Be sure to select 3 alternate courses on your registration card in the event that you are not able to get your primary choice(s). Alternate choices cannot be entered into PowerSchool (you must select them on your registration card).

Course Updates
- There will be a new course offered for native Spanish speakers titled Heritage Spanish.
- Founding Principles of US/NC Civic Literacy will now be offered as a CP level, in addition to Honors.
- AP Government is an alternative to Civic Literacy.
- AP Human Geography is the only other AP class available to freshmen. (*Freshmen taking AP courses are expected to have been accelerated learners in middle school.)

Weaver Academy CTE Courses
Weaver Bus Schedule:
8:30 am – Students needing transportation to Weaver need to be dropped off no later than 8:30. The bus is by the trailer in the transportation lot and leaves SWHS at 8:35 am.
12:00 pm - The bus leaves Weaver to return students to SWHS.
12:30 pm – The bus leaves SWHS to take students to Weaver for afternoon classes. The bus is located out front in the bus loop.
Home – students taking afternoon classes at Weaver get transportation directly home from Weaver
