Congratulations to SEHS Alumnus Jacob Jenkins-Cowart!We are thrilled to share some exciting news about one of our own! Jacob Jenkins-Cowart, a proud alumnus of SEHS, was drafted in the 8th round by the Miami Marlins. This is a tremendous achievement and a testament to Jacob’s hard work, dedication, and talent.Another congratulations goes out to the Jenkins-Cowart family for their love and support throughout Jacob’s journey. What a dream!

Theater
Last weekend SE students attended the NC Thespians Festival. SE had 4 students competing in Thespy Events.
- Rodrick Martinez-Moran and Alister Vickery received a Superior on their Duet Acting Scene receiving 1 point away from a perfect score. Both qualify for Thespys at the International Thespian Festival.
- Lyndsey Poff received an Excellent on her play.
- Destiny Greene received an Excellent on her play as well.
The rest of the troupe participated in multiple workshops and learning opportunities.
FAFSA HELP
FASFA HELP with UNCG at SEHS in the computer lab from 3:30-6:00 on March 18. It doesn’t matter what school you are going to, take advantage of the experts helping you one on one.
CAP AND GOWN
Cap & gown pick-up day is March 26th! Seniors will be able to pick up their cap and gowns during all 3 lunches & 4:30-6 in the front commons. All balances must be paid in full before pick-up. They will only accept cash payments on the day of pick-up; no credit cards.
3rd Annual Cerebral Palsy Walkathon
Mark your calendars for our 3rd Annual Cerebral Palsy Walkathon on Saturday, March 29! This event raises funds to support parents and students with cerebral palsy. We encourage all students to participate and bring a pledge of at least $10. This is a service-learning opportunity, allowing students to earn hours toward their Service Learning Certificate or Diploma.
We have some amazing sponsors providing food for the event, including Biscuitville, Fresh Market, Trader Joe’s, and Sheetz. It’s going to be a fantastic day for a great cause!

¡Esperamos con entusiasmo una GRAN semana en SE High! Aprecio su continuo apoyo.
Teatro
El fin de semana pasado, los estudiantes de SE asistieron al Festival de Thespians de Carolina del Norte. SE tuvo 4 estudiantes compitiendo en eventos de Thespy:
- Rodrick Martinez-Moran y Alister Vickery recibieron una calificación Superior en su escena de actuación en dúo, quedando a solo un punto de una puntuación perfecta. Ambos califican para los Thespys en el Festival Internacional de Thespians.
- Lyndsey Poff recibió una calificación Excelente por su obra.
- Destiny Greene también recibió una calificación Excelente por su obra.
El resto del grupo participó en múltiples talleres y oportunidades de aprendizaje.
AYUDA CON FAFSA
Habrá ayuda con la FAFSA con la UNCG en el laboratorio de computación de SEHS el 18 de marzo de 3:30 p.m. a 6:00 p.m. No importa a qué escuela vayas a asistir, aprovecha la ayuda de los expertos que te guiarán de manera individual.
TOGA Y BIRRETE
¡El día de recogida de la toga y el birrete es el 26 de marzo! Los estudiantes de último año podrán recogerlos durante los tres almuerzos o de 4:30 p.m. a 6:00 p.m. en el área común del frente.
- Todas las cuentas deben estar pagadas en su totalidad antes de la recogida.
- Solo se aceptarán pagos en efectivo el día de la recogida; no se aceptarán tarjetas de crédito.
3ª Caminata Anual por la Parálisis Cerebral
¡Marquen sus calendarios para la 3ª Caminata Anual por la Parálisis Cerebral el sábado 29 de marzo! Este evento recauda fondos para apoyar a padres y estudiantes con parálisis cerebral. Animamos a todos los estudiantes a participar y traer un donativo de al menos $10.
Este evento también es una oportunidad de aprendizaje de servicio, permitiendo a los estudiantes ganar horas para su Certificado o Diploma de Aprendizaje de Servicio.Contaremos con el apoyo de patrocinadores increíbles que donarán comida para el evento, incluyendo Biscuitville, Fresh Market, Trader Joe’s y Sheetz. ¡Será un día fantástico por una gran causa!
