Mr. Smith

Hello Cougars,

My name is James Smith and I am honored to be serving as your Assistant Principal this school year.  I look forward to getting to know each of the families and students and assisting this to be the most successful school year yet!  I have five children, four daughters and a son and I grew up in Fayetteville, NC.  I have five years of middle school experience as an Assistant Principal and look forward to making a difference at Kernodle Middle School.  I started my career in education as an elementary school counselor.  My goal is to give direction and support to middle school students preparing them for higher education and helping them become independent thinkers so they experience success in life.
