Mrs. Horner

I am Mrs. Horner, the Kernoodle Middle School Art Teacher! I graduated from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts with a concentration in Art Education. This is my 1st year at Kernoodle Middle School and my 3rd year teaching. In this class, students will learn how the elements of art and principles of design are used to create. Students will explore the art world by researching artists from different cultures and backgrounds. Specifically, artists that students can relate to! Students will learn to use a variety of art materials including but not limited to pencil, fibers, paint, watercolor, and chalk pastel. I am determined to create a classroom environment that is welcoming, cozy, and full of creativity. Most importantly, in this class students will have fun!
