Reading minutes must be logged in Beanstack to be eligible for a prize. Students who cannot record their minutes over Summer Break can enter them in Beanstack when they return to school. To count toward the challenge, minutes will need to be dated during Summer Break.

Transportation Request for 2025-2026 School Year

If your child will be a new bus rider, attending a new school, or has had an address change for next school year, you should complete the 2025-2026 online Transportation Preference form by Friday, June 13th to guarantee transportation on the first day of school. Form is located here: Transportation Request Version 17.0

If your child rode the bus during the 2024-2025 school year as an eligible student and there has been no school change and/or address change, families do not have to apply for transportation for the 2025-2026 school year.”

Congratulations to Coach Quincy Bell

We would like you to join us in congratulating Coach Quincy Bell on his retirement from Guilford County Schools.  Coach Bell has been a pillar within the Kernodle community and we appreciate his dedication, commitment, and years of service to the students and families of Kernodle Middle School. He will be missed.

Mrs. Shephard's Thank You to Our School Community!

I would like to thank all of our parents, students, teachers, and staff for the grace you have given me this school year. As I reflect on this time, I am very thankful for the grows and glows I have experienced while joining the Kernodle Middle School community. The things I have learned this year will help me to be a better school leader and you have played an important part of this journey.

Last Day of School: The last day of school for the 2024-2025 school year is Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Hope everyone enjoys their summer!
