Welcome to fourth grade at Shadybrook Elementary School! My name is Mrs. Bristol and I will be your child’s teacher this year.  This will be my seventh year teaching at Shadybrook, and my sixth year teaching fourth grade.  I followed my passion for working with children after several years in another career – practicing law! While most people think that the two fields are completely unrelated, I find that I am utilizing a lot of the same skills in a much more fulfilling setting.  Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two dogs and two cats. We are animal lovers and we often volunteer and foster with a local rescue group.  I also enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, kayaking, and you can usually find me with a book (or Kindle) in my hand.

 I am very excited about the upcoming school year and look forward to making fourth grade a wonderful learning experience for your child. We have a lot to accomplish this year, which means hard work on all of our parts.  Of course, we will sprinkle in fun along the way.  We are a team, and I have high expectations for all of us.  With hard work, respect for others, and kindness, we are sure to have a successful year.
