Welcome Back to Hairston Middle School Students and Parents!

Welcome to Otis L. Hairston Middle School where we work as a family to make our students and parents experience fantastic. During the 20-21 school year I will be teaching 7th grade social studies during my second year of teaching. 

Prior to coming to teach at Hairston Middle School I spent two years at Scale Greensboro as a behavioral specialist where I had the opportunity to work with students throughout Guilford County from middle to high school students. I spent 3 year working in the behavioral/mental health field in Phoenix AZ where I was able to start my journey in public services. Other experience I have is working with the Department of Public Safety for 4 year and working in the community as a mentor for youth between the ages of 8 and 18 years old.

I am a graduate from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice Administration and have recently received my Master of Art Teaching K-6 Education from High Point Universtiy where I concentrated on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). 

Teaching allows me to continue doing what I love and enjoy which is helping our youth overcome obstacles and turn it into success. I am excited to have the opportunity to be a positive role model for the children we know as our future and would like to welcome you again to Otis L. Hairston Middle School.
