Good evening Murphey families! Here are this week's updates.

First, I want to thank everyone who joined us for our parent meeting and Winter Concert on Tuesday evening. Our 4th and 5th grade students did an amazing job performing and we were able to share some important information regarding next year. I appreciate you all for showing up!

Coming up this week...

Parents, we invite you to participate with our toy drive. We are asking each student to bring in a new toy that will be donated to Family Room, which serves as a Foster Care resource center. We will be keeping track of the toys donated from each classroom and the class that donates the most toys will get a smores party before we leave for winter break. Thank you for your spirit of giving this season!

To our 3rd grade parents, if you have not picked up your child's bike from the Bike For Kids essay contest, please do so between the hours of 7am and 4pm. Any bikes that are not picked up this week will be donated to our toy drive.

On Thursday, Dec. 14th we will have our quarterly Donuts with Grownups at 7:30am. We invite everyone to participate by RSVPing to Counselor Wellbock.

Lastly, we hope that all of our students who attended Parents Night Out had a blast. If your child did not receive an invitation, they can certainly attend the next one by having perfect attendance during the entire 2nd quarter. Thank you, again, for all of your support in the excellent teaching and learning that happens at Murphey every day. Have a great evening!

¡Buenas noches familias de Murphey! Aquí están las actualizaciones de esta semana.

En primer lugar, quiero agradecer a todos los que se unieron a nosotros para nuestra reunión de padres y el Concierto de Invierno el martes por la noche. Nuestros estudiantes de 4º y 5º grado hicieron un trabajo increíble y pudimos compartir información importante sobre el próximo año. ¡Les agradezco a todos por atender!

Próximamente esta semana...

Padres, los invitamos a participar con nuestra colecta de juguetes. Le pedimos a cada estudiante que traiga un juguete nuevo que será donado a Family Room, que sirve como centro de recursos de Foster Care o cuidado de crianza. Llevaremos un registro de los juguetes donados de cada salón de clases y la clase que done la mayor cantidad de juguetes tendrá una fiesta de smores antes de que nos vayamos a las vacaciones de invierno. ¡Gracias por su espíritu de generosidad en esta temporada!

A nuestros padres de 3er grado, si no han recogido la bicicleta de su hijo del concurso de ensayos Bike For Kids, háganlo entre las 7 a.m. y las 4 p.m. Las bicicletas que no se recojan esta semana serán donadas a nuestra colecta de juguetes.

El jueves 14 de diciembre tendremos nuestro Donuts con adultos a las 7:30 am. Invitamos a todos a participar confirmando su asistencia con la Consejera Wellbock.

Por último, esperamos que todos nuestros estudiantes que asistieron a Parents Night Out se hayan divertido mucho. Si su hijo no recibió una invitación, sin duda puede asistir a la siguiente teniendo una asistencia perfecta durante todo el 2º trimestre.
