  • Greetings Nighthawk Families,

I am honored for the opportunity to serve as the next assistant principal at Northern Elementary School. I look forward to working collaboratively with students, teachers, and parents so that our students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. My philosophy is that all students are capable of learning when they have the right systems in place and access to high-quality educators.

I was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. After high school, I joined the United States Army and honorably served nine years. My passion for education came while working as a correctional officer. I found that many of the juveniles that were arrested did not have positive male role models. I also found that jail cells were built based on 3rd-grade test scores. Current and past research asserts that positive student-teacher relationships increase student engagement and learning.

I look forward to an amazing school year of teaching and learning.

    Kind Regards,

    Dr. T.K McMillon
