• Hi! My name is Tosha Meredith and I joined Johnson Street in the middle of the 2021-22 school year. I am excited about getting to know the students, staff and families! Please reach out via email (meredin@gcsnc.com) or by phone if I can support you in any way! You 

    • My office hours are Monday-Friday 8a-3p.
      • My mission as the school counselor is to support students academically, socially and with skills to appropriately handle the situations that life gives them. My vision is for students to be able to demonstrate coping skills and various strategies to be successful in school and their future career.
    I am in the specials rotation and visit K-5 classes once a week for whole group instruction. During this time, we discuss topics such as responsibility and integrity, as well as complete various activities to reinforce knowledge of these skills. Social Emotional Learning or SEL is what drives the lessons I teach in the classroom. Here is a link to learn more about that: Social And Emotional Learning
    • I also offer small group lessons and individual sessions on a case-by-case basis. Topics for these groups can include conflict resolution and academic or attendance support. For regular sessions, this would require parental consent.
