    What is PBIS?

PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports.  PBIS creates a common set of expectations for all students and staff throughout all the common areas of the school. This allows students to have a firm understanding of what is expected of them while at school and gives staff a common language when praising and redirecting students.

Guilford County's PBIS Website - This website contains basic information about the use of PBIS in Guilford County.

National PBIS Website -This website offers a variety of information on positive behavior support.

    General Greene Common Areas:

Hallway, Specials (Art, Music, PE, Media, Science Lab, Technology Lab) Playground, Bathroom, Dismissal, Buses, Cafeteria. Click on each common area to see the expectations for that area.

  • Class Dojo

Class Dojo is a digital classroom management tool designed to help teachers improve student behavior and communicate more effectively with parents.

At General Greene we use Class Dojo as a school wide support system to encourage positive behavior in line with our school wide expectations both in the common areas and in the classroom.  Some teachers choose to use an individual dojo account to encourage specific classroom expectations. Teachers can communicate with parents through their individual classroom account.
