Ms. Kenyona Bethea
Howdy!
I am Ms. Bethea (Buh-thay), your math teacher. I am pumped for this academic year and have been looking forward to our time together. I strive to be an understanding teacher that considers the feelings of my students. I have a seven-year-old daughter. I graduated from Bennett College with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. During my undergraduate studies, I also studied at NC A & T. I am currently a graduate student at UNCG earning a Master of Arts in Teaching. You can expect me to be lighthearted, make corny jokes, and be clumsy. I am very honest and I never mind students calling me for help, telling me about their lives, or having a snack in class.
While I am lighthearted, I will still push you to think and do your best daily. I believe in the abilities of all of my students, and I will always encourage and care for each and every one of you. I only ask that you reciprocate the respect I give you, and that you do your best every day. With math, being persistent and consistent are the most important things. Remember, Pythagoras did not create his most famous theorem in one day. Math requires time, practice, and a little creativity. With these three things, you will all be beyond successful in this class!
