Mr. Daniel Tilley

My name is Daniel Tilley, and I have been the assistant principal here at Millis Road Elementary for the past 4 school years. It has been an honor to serve the Roadrunner family and to be a part of this amazing community. I am humbled each day by the opportunity to serve here at the very best school in Guilford County!

I was born and raised in Eden, North Carolina and attended Morehead High School. I then went on to attend Greensboro College and graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Special Education. I also played baseball while attending Greensboro and was the President of the Council for Exceptional Children at the college. After graduation from GC, I taught as an exceptional children’s teacher at Bessemer Elementary and Pearce Elementary. While teaching, I obtained my Master’s in School Administration from UNCG. I am happily married to my wife Alexis, and we have two kids named Braxton and Georgia. We love to stay busy by spending time with family and friends and traveling. In my free time I love to read, play basketball, and run marathons.

I believe that all children deserve the highest quality of education possible. As educators, it is our responsibility to prepare all our students for success in their future endeavors. As a school administrator I will always strive to make decisions that are centered around what is best for the scholars in our building. I will help build an environment where students feel loved and supported. It is my belief that we must create equitable spaces where our children can learn, grow, and flourish. I truly believe that Millis Road is the best school and will do whatever it takes to keep it that way!
