Free Resources from Guilford Parent Academy

Free workshops, online videos and interactive learning programs are available to all Guilford County Schools (GCS) parents through Guilford Parent Academy.

A full schedule of workshops, classes and family learning events is planned at schools and other convenient locations across Guilford County during the school year. Check the Parent Academy website often, as events are added throughout the year. 

If you can’t make it to a class, you can still use the parent resources on the Parent Academy website. With our online learning resources, help your child improve reading skills, build vocabulary, practice math problems and take advantage of netTrekker, an educational search tool that only brings up content approved and rated by educators. 

There are also research-based videos and study guides that cover parenting, school success, health, character education and more. Do you want to make sure your elementary age child is thinking about college? Sign up for College Bound, which offers a series of easy lessons and tips you can use to help your child do well in school now. Students and parents can also explore what careers are suited best for them and connect with career coaches through Futures for Kids.
