About our school and students

Herbin-Metz Education Center is one of four Public Separate Schools in Guilford County Schools.  We serve students in need of the most intensive special education services offered on the continuum.  Students in kindergarten through eighth grade attend who require a highly structured, smaller school setting with a staff that is trained in evidence-based practices to meet educational, behavioral, and communication needs.  We do not have open enrollment.  Decisions regarding placement are determined by the IEP team.
