Ms. Hairston

Hello Sumner Seahawks! My name is Ms. Hairston and I am apart of the third-grade teaching team at Sumner! I am so excited to be apart of such a wonderful community of educators and students! I am a graduate of East Carolina University and I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Psychology. This is my second year teaching so I am very excited about this year! My favorite thing in the world to do is read! I encourage my students to read as much as they can! I also love spending time with my friends and family and significant other! I also love to go for runs, watch tv, and listen to music in my free time! My motto for teaching is "Learning is forever, we're all in this together" because learning is a process and we all learn something new each day! I look forward to a great school year!
