Welcome to NEW Principal
Posted by Elizabeth Sunshine on 8/19/2024The EMC @ GTCC Jamestown would like to welcome Ms. TaWuana Cook as the new Principal. She was most recently an AP at Jamestown Middle School. She was appointed by the Board and began in July 2024.

Celebrate Mrs Kitley's retirement
Posted by Elizabeth Sunshine on 1/2/2024Loretta Rowland Kitley retired at the end of December. She has been principal of the EMC @GTCC Jamestown for 20 years. She will be greatly missed, but has plans to travel and watch her daughter finish play basketball at Virginia Tech.

EMC Chess Club competes
Posted by Elizabeth Sunshine on 2/8/2022Congratulations to the EMC Chess Club for its showing at the Guilford County Chess Tournament. Mr. Espinoza, the advisor and coach for the club, took seven students to Southwest HS on Saturday January 29th, to compete in their FIRST chess tournament.
The day was successful for the fledgling club--most students won at least ONE game. Amrika Nie Adrong took home third place in the tournament.

New Faces at EMC @ GTCC August 2017
Posted by Elizabeth Sunshine on 8/21/2017The Early/Middle College at GTCC Jamestown is pleased to welcome Mrs. Jennifer Wilson to the English Department. She has most recently taught English and Creative Writing at the Middle College at Greensboro College and Grimsley High School.
We are sad to announce that Mrs. Allacin Duggins was offered a teaching position a little bit closer to her home in Ashboro at her daughter's school. We will miss her vibrant teaching and personality!

New faces at EMC @ GTCC Jamestown
Posted by Elizabeth Sunshine on 8/21/2017The Early/Middle College is pleased to welcome some new faces to our faculty. Ms. Hannah Wallach joins the science department this year. She was an NCSTEP intern and is taking on the challenge of the Robotics Club during her first year teaching.
Megan McElroy joins the AMAZING math department. Ms. McElroy did her student teaching here last year.
The new Foreign Language Department welcomes Ms. Endi Velez. Ms. Velez moves up from middle to high school this year.
Mr. Dave Ewalt returns to the Early/Middle College this year, coming from East Forseyth High School in Kernersville. Mr. Ewalt is our new College and Career Counselor.
We are also sad to say, Mr. Michael Robinson is leaving the Early/Middle College to take a position at High Point University. His replacement has not been hired yet.

Science Fair--January 2014
Posted by Elizabeth Sunshine on 8/21/2017Congratulations to Gregory Brannon for taking first place in the Guilford County Science Fair physics division. He took his project to the district competition and came in third place. He also received an award from the Naval Observatory on his work predicting rocket trajectory. CONGRATULATIONS!

Science Fair Winners--December 2013
