Mr. John Haynes

Welcome to The Early College at Guilford.  This year, I will teach AP World History: Modern and AP Psychology as well as supervise students taking online courses.  I also enjoy coaching the ECG Quiz Bowl team and sponsoring our Campus Life club.

My educational career spans about 25 year and includes time as an administrator as well as nine year at a school in Kenya.  My wife is also a teacher but at the other end of the spectrum; she teaches First Grade.  We have two daughters and one beautiful grand daughter.

On this page, you will find syllabi for my classes.  Students, be sure to check out our class Canvas page ASAP as you will find your syllabus along with a lot of additional useful information.  Parents, you are also able to access your student's Canvas page to view this information as well as our class activities and assignments throughout the year.

I am really looking forward to working with each of you to create the greatest learning community we possibly can.

Remember, your Current Event Report is due on the first day of classes - Wednesday, August 7th - reardless of  whether your section is A-day or B-day.  You will have a brief world geography quiz on Thursday (A-Day) and Friday (B-Day).
