• What is a National Career Readiness Certificate?

ACT's National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) is a portable credential that demonstrates achievement and a certain level of workplace employability skills in Applied Mathematics and Locating Information, and Reading for Information.

Individuals can earn the NCRC by taking three WorkKeys® assessments:

    • Applied Mathematics

    • Graphic Literacy

    • WorkPlace Documents

WorkKeys assessments measure "real world" skills that employers believe are critical to job success. Test questions are based on situations in the everyday work world.

    Who takes the WorkKeys?

All Career Technical Education seniors that complete a pathway in a career cluster will take the WorkKeys test their senior year.  To be recognized as a completer of a pathway in one of the 16 career clusters a student must  have

    •  two main CTE or CCP classes within a Career & Technical Pathway

    • one enhancement CTE or CCP class within a Career & Technical Pathway

    • one  level two class within a Career & Technical Pathway
