First Grade Expectations

This year we will focus on phonics strategies to read and spell using CKLA. We will learn comprehension strategies and vocabulary to become better readers and thinkers using CKLA Listening and Learning.

In math, we will learn how to add and subtract 2 digit numbers, count and write numbers past 120, tell time, and problem solve.  And we will write, a lot, every chance we get, about everything we are learning.

Thank you, in advance, for sharing your wonderful children with me. I believe that every child can grow and learn and we are going to see much growth this year. This is going to be a wonderful year with your babies!

Classroom Expectations

1. We are respectful of ourselves and others all the time.

2. Raise your hand to speak or get out of your seat.

3. Eyes on the speaker.

4. Keep your hands to yourself.

5. Do your best. Always.
