Mrs. Arlene Little

My name is Arlene Little. I teach second grade at Allen Jay Elementary. I'm really excited about this school year, as it is the first time I'll be teaching second graders in 14 years! I am originally from South Africa where I taught for 17 years. I've now taught in the USA for 17 years.

I came to the USA as an exchange teacher, where I met and married my husband, Gerald. He is a jazz musician who plays drums and keyboards. I’ve worked on all  his albums. He also has his own transportation company. 

My daughter, Rayne, is married and lives in Chicago. She has a PhD in Applied Social Psychology and is a professor at Chicago University.

My hobbies include reading, writing music, singing, and playing the keyboards.
