Board Opens Proposed Prequalification Bidding Policy to Public Comment
The public is invited to comment on a proposed policy outlining a prequalification process for construction project bids. The Guilford County Board of Education voted to open the proposal up for a 30-day public comment period during its meeting on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014.
A new state law requires the board to adopt a prequalification policy to be followed anytime the district considers bids for certain projects. The requirement will be effective for any future contracts.
The public can review the proposed policy by clicking here.
The 30-day public-comment period will close on Nov. 24. Input may be shared by emailing policies@gcsnc.com. Feedback can also be sent by U.S. mail to District Relations, Bidding Policy, Guilford County Schools, 712 N. Eugene St., Greensboro, NC 27401.
