High School Options Nights Begin Jan. 13
Preparing for high school? Guilford County Schools has events just for you. Rising ninth graders and their families are invited to one of four High School Options nights scheduled for January and February. Students and parents can meet with representatives from all of the district's high school options programs and decide if one is right for them.
The events are from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the following locations and dates:
- Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Bessemer Elementary, 918 Huffine Mill Road, Greensboro
- Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Reedy Fork Elementary, 4571 Reedy Fork Parkway, Greensboro
- Wednesday, Jan. 28, at Sedgefield Elementary, 2905 Groometown Road, Greensboro
- Thursday, Feb. 5, at Southwest Elementary, 4372 Southwest School Road, High Point
GCS offers 22 high school programs that can prepare students for career programs or provide tuition-free college credit. In some cases, students can earn associate degrees while attending high school. Applications for the high school options programs will be accepted from Jan. 24 to Feb. 20.
To learn more about the district’s magnet programs, click here, or come to the GCS Choice Showcase on Saturday, Jan, 24, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center.
