ConnectED Message 3/22

Good evening Ragsdale families, this is Deanne Lowe, Curriculum Facilitator and AP Coordinator with an important announcement if you are taking Advanced Placement or AP courses.  This information only applies to AP students.

Ragsdale will administer AP exams following the College Board exam schedule beginning May 3 through May 17, 2021. Because we recognize the importance of these exams, all AP exams will be administered in the traditional paper/pencil format while adhering to COVID safety guidelines.

All students who are attending in-person instruction will test during the in-person paper/pencil window. Remote learners are also strongly encouraged to test in-person. However, Ragsdale will offer remote digital options for those families who have chosen to remain remote this academic year due to COVID safety and individual concerns. Students’ registration for remote instruction must have been complete by March 17, 2021 and the request to test digitally at home must be made by submitting an electronic form that students’ AP teachers have shared with them by April 9, 2021.  This electronic form is also available on students’ Canvas Class of 21, 22 or 23 Courses.

All AP exams have specified start times per College Board.

  • Paper/pencil exams will begin at 8:00am or 12:00pm
  • Exams with a digital option will begin at 12:00pm or 4:00pm
    • Please note that Spanish Language does NOT have a digital option. It must be administered paper/pencil in person.

Should you have additional questions regarding the AP exam administration, digital testing requirements or digital exam design, please refer to the FAQ located on the GCS AG department webpage.

If you have further questions or need clarification, please contact me.
