Art Supplies

Welcome to Kernodle’s Art Class! I look forward to a great 2020-2021 School Year! Thank you for your endless support of the Visual Arts! Your child will be learning a variety of art techniques, explore different mediums and art history!

Due to Covid 19, the supplies that your child needs have increased in order to complete art assignments via distance learning. If you are not able to purchase all of the following items for your child, please contact me and I will assist you.

Must have:

  1. Spiral bound sketchbook (at least 8 ½ x 11 inches) with blank pages-mixed media type paper is best.
  2. 1 sheet of Poster Board Paper (22 x 28 inches any color) -$1 @ Dollar Tree-We will fold this in half and staple the 2 sides to create a large “pocket” and use it as a portfolio to store your child’s work. If I have had your child before, they may use their portfolio from last year.
  3. Colored Pencils (24 count or more is best)-highly suggest the Prismacolor brand-they are a great, high-quality pencil with a bendable pigment.
  4. Pack of Markers (20 count or more)-example: Crayola, or alcohol-based art markers like Copic or similar ones that are less expensive.
  5. Watercolor palette-example: Crayola Washable Watercolors set-(8 colors or more)
  6. Acrylic paint-5 basic colors for color mixing-Black, White, Red, Blue, Yellow. The brand Apple Barrel is only $0.50 per bottle at Walmart
  7. All Purpose Painting brush pack-for acrylic and watercolor painting.
  8. Black Extra Fine Point Sharpie
  9. Glue stick
  10. Clear Ruler
  11. Pencils
  12. Erasers
  13. Pencil Sharpener
