GCS Seeks Proposals for School Bond Project Management
Dec. 18, 2020 – GCS is preparing to begin the process of allocating the bond dollars approved by Guilford County voters in the Nov. 3 election. Voters approved $300 million in school bonds.
The district has posted a Request for Qualifications/Proposals (RFQ/P) seeking a Qualified Owner Representative to oversee the pre-construction, construction and post-occupancy phases of projects that will be funded by school bonds.
The owner representative also will be responsible for ensuring the district’s compliance with all local and state requirements. For complete details, click here.
The RFQ/P is due by Jan. 5, 2021, at 2 p.m. Candidates should deliver one electronic copy and three original copies to:

Interviews will be conducted in late January, with notice given to a successful firm on or about February 5, 2021. A notice to proceed will be given following successful negotiations on March 1, 2021. Minority- and women-owned businesses are encouraged to apply.
