Nov. 5, 2020 – The season of giving is approaching, and Guilford Parent Academy (GPA) is celebrating by ensuring one local family’s holidays are a year to remember. GPA is launching an Adopt-A-Family initiative, where they will shower one deserving family with necessities and gifts.  

Parents, caregivers and community members are invited to nominate a family and share why that family should be the recipient of the GPA Adopt-A-Family giveaway. The winning family will receive new apparel, wish list items, necessities and a gift certificate to a local restaurant.  

“This holiday season, we want to spread kindness throughout the community and offer hope to one of our families during a challenging and uncertain year,” said Kimberly Funderburk, director of GPA. “We know that one small act can spark others, and we encourage our community to keep the kindness going.”

Nominees must have at least one student attending a Guilford County Schools elementary school. The family will receive the items on Friday, Dec. 18. Click here to submit nominations through Nov. 20 at 5 p.m.
