History of Ferndale:

Ferndale Middle School began as High Point Junior High School on South Main Street.  A new school was built, and students moved in December of 1931.  The name changed from High Point Junior High School to Ferndale Junior High School.  In the '80s, the school again changed its name to Ferndale Middle School.  The school was also renovated at that time to add another gym and additional classrooms.

In 2007, renovations were completed on eight new classrooms, a cafeteria expansion, and an intensive technology upgrade.  Then, in 2012, our school received a complete HVAC system. Despite many changes over the years, we look forward to Ferndale Middle School's future!
