Welcome to Ms. Thompson's 4th grade class. This is my 18th year at Oak Ridge Elementary and my 21st year teaching.  I am incredibly excited about another amazing year at Oak Ridge Elementary.  I attended Illinois State for my undergraduate program and UNCG for my Masters program.  I have been National Board Certified for 16 years.  

I am looking forward to having your child as a student in my classroom this year.  My goal is always to cherish and challenge your child.  I am committed to creating a classroom environment where your child is a valued, trusted, and integral part of our family of learners.  In order to accomplish this, I have planned a variety of activities to emphasize and reinforce this goal.  It is my hope that you will support and encourage this vision at home as well.
