    JOIN OUR MENDENHALL PTA FAMILY TODAY!

    The Mendenhall Middle School PTA plays a crucial role in fostering a supportive and collaborative school environment. We encourage a sense of community and belonging through school-wide events and activities, helping teachers, administrators, parents & students feel more connected and engaged with their Mendenhall Middle School.     We are still looking for more volunteers to:

    1. Fill vacant positions on the board,
    2. Assist with fundraising and other activities,
    3. Provide ideas and suggestions for events and fundraisers, and
    4. Assist with providing and/or developing resources for our teachers, administrators and families. If you are not already a member please consider joining.     WHAT WE DO

    1. Supporting Parents:

    o Advocacy: The MMS PTA advocates for parental concerns and perspectives within the school, ensuring that parents have a voice in decisions that affect their child’s education.

    o Information and Resources: We provide parents with valuable information about events, and educational resources. This helps parents stay informed and engaged with their child's education.

    o Networking Opportunities: By organizing meetings, workshops, and social events, we create opportunities for parents to connect, share experiences, and build a supportive community.

    2. Supporting Teachers:

    o Recognition and Support: The MMS PTA organizes events to recognize and celebrate the hard work of teachers, boosting morale and fostering a positive school climate.

    o Feedback and Collaboration: The MMS PTA acts as a liaison between teachers and parents, facilitating open communication and collaboration to address any challenges or concerns.

    o Classroom and Event Assistance: The MMS PTA can coordinate volunteers who can assist teachers with field trips, or special events. This additional support helps reduce teachers’ workload and provides extra hands for organizing and managing various activities.

    3. Supporting Students:

     o Enrichment Programs: The MMS PTA helps organize extracurricular activities, field trips, and special events that enrich students' educational experiences and broaden their learning opportunities.

    o Academic Support: By supporting initiatives like tutoring programs or homework help centers, the MMS PTA contributes to students' academic success and provides additional support where needed. Overall, the MMS PTA acts as a bridge between parents, teachers, and students, facilitating communication, collaboration, and mutual support to enhance the overall educational experience.

     

    Here are some other ways you can support our PTA:

    1. Link your Harris Teeter VIC account to Mendenhall Middle School: Code 1323. You can do this by logging into your online account or ask the cashier for help the next time you check out.

    2. Collect Box Tops for Education and turn them into the front office or ask your student to give them to his/her homeroom teacher; please place in an envelope marked PTA.
